When did you start smartphone photography?: i Started shooting on a mobile 16 months ago

Which social media platform do you prefer for sharing your work?: I use mostly Instagram and Flickr

What photography apps would you recommend?: The apps I would recommend are Snapseed and VSCO

What editing software is the best value?: Snapseed as this is the best all round app and its free

How has smartphone photography been received by the industry overall?: Overall its received a positive response as I have had some photos exhibited in various locations . The feedback from others has been particularly positive

What are the challenges with shooting with your phone?: For me as I generally shoot candidly on the street I have to get close up to individuals

Name your favourite things about this kind of photography?: I always have my phone on me , so I am always carrying a camera with me . Its great for catching that moment on the street or a scene without having to carry my camera bag with me . I also find that I can capture interesting angles that I might not otherwise get with my camera.

Once I capture that moment its easy to edit the photograph on the mobile using various apps without the hassle of editing it on my pc

What has caused the biggest shift in mobile photography in the last few years?: There has been a big shift in mobile photography . its slowly becoming more accepted within the main stream media outlets with a number of exhibitions aimed at the mobile user

Where do you see smartphone photography going in the future?: I can only see it becoming more acceptable in the main stream outlets , however I have noticed that it seems to be alot more popular in various countries compared to Ireland
