What are the challenges with shooting with your phone?: Working with the limitation of the lens design and low light.

Name your favourite things about this kind of photography?: the instant accessibility to an incredible photographic tool that only gets better with the innovations of the apps that support the creative vision of mobile photography.

What has caused the biggest shift in mobile photography in the last few years?: Apps are a huge shift in the way a photographer can pre-visualize and shoot with the intended app function in mind such as cinemagraphs via Flixel's cinemagraph app, beautiful filter sets such as VSCO apps, and high-end perspective corrections with the SKRWT app, The list goes on and on. It's an ever evolving set of powerful tools in the palm of your hand.

Where do you see smartphone photography going in the future?: The ability to capture 3D imagery is the next frontier. It's nascent now but we will see more immersive environments being created by photographers who can make the aesthetic transition from 2-D to 3-D.
